New Unity: Launch of the Flag of the African Confederation of the Sahel (AES)
In a historic step strengthening regional integration, the Malian capital, Bamako, hosted on Saturday the ceremony for the launch of the official flag of the African Confederation of the Sahel (AES), in the presence of the relevant ministers and under the presidency of General Abdoulaye Maïga, Prime Minister of Mali. This new flag embodies unity, sovereignty, and cooperation among the member states, following its official adoption by the participating heads of state.
This event is part of efforts to strengthen the political and economic integration of Sahel countries, amidst significant security and development challenges in the region. The launch of the flag reflects the commitment of the member states to build a strong alliance based on independence and sustainable development, with the ambition of enhancing regional stability and asserting the Confederation’s place on the international stage.
