A mural was unveiled today, Saturday, at the headquarters of the Youth Network for Development and Leadership in Chad (RJDLT) to mark World Zero Discrimination Day. The event was organized by UNAIDS in collaboration with UNFPA and UNICEF, with the goal of raising awareness about discrimination, particularly against people living with HIV/AIDS.

During the ceremony, Djéngomdé Ghislain, an animator with AfriYAN and the coordinator of the event, emphasized the importance of inclusion and respect for individuals affected by HIV. He stated, “People living with HIV are part of our family. Their serological status should never be a reason for exclusion. As a community, we have a responsibility to give them the place they deserve, because no one is immune to the disease.”

Ghislain also outlined the key stages of the project, which began with an online awareness campaign. He expressed gratitude for the support provided by UNAIDS, UNFPA, and UNICEF, which made the initiative possible. In his closing remarks, Ghislain urged the youth present to actively engage in the fight against stigma by spreading messages of tolerance and acceptance within their communities and society.
