Ethiopian Aviation Forum Opens in Addis Ababa to Boost Air Connectivity and Continental Integration

The Ethiopian Aviation Forum has officially commenced in Addis Ababa at the Skylight Hotel, under the theme: “Growing Global Aviation: Africa Connecting the World,” attracting a wide array of government officials and leaders from the aviation sector.

Among the key participants are Dr. Alemu Sime, Minister of Transport and Logistics, Salamat Kassaa, Minister of Tourism, Getachew Mengiste, Director General of the Ethiopian Civil Aviation Authority, and Mesfin Tasew, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines. The forum also includes local and international stakeholders from the aviation and logistics industries.

The two-day event aims to explore strategies for advancing the aviation sector across Africa, fostering regional integration in air transport and logistics, and modernizing the related infrastructure.

The forum’s agenda features in-depth discussions on the needs of airlines, airports, and industry suppliers, while also addressing the challenges and future opportunities facing Africa’s aviation industry.

According to the organizers, the forum serves as a strategic platform for sharing expertise and building partnerships. It is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing Ethiopia’s ambitions to become a regional hub for air transport and logistics services.
