In a recorded message to forum participants, Lavrov stated: “Africa is the continent of the future, the factory of the future for youth.” He emphasized the long-standing friendly ties between Russia and African nations, adding: “In the past century, our country selflessly supported Africans in their devoted struggle for freedom and independence.”
Lavrov further noted that today, relations with Africa are an unconditional priority in Russia’s foreign policy concept, as endorsed by President Vladimir Putin.
