Edited by : Widad WAHBI
Rising Mauritanian content creator Tyfa Dia has been selected to represent Mauritania in the TikAfrica Challenge, a pan-African digital competition that celebrates francophone youth talent through the TikTok platform.
Organized by Abalti Yanick and sponsored by SOTICDA SARL (Cameroon) and YAZID&ABALTI BTP (France), the challenge aims to promote creativity, cultural diversity, and youth unity across the continent. More than just a contest, TikAfrica Challenge is a digital stage for artists, dancers, singers, and video creators from 15 African countries.
Tyfa Dia, known for her vibrant presence on social media, exemplifies a new wave of Mauritanian influencers stepping confidently onto the pan-African scene. Her content — a lively mix of culture, humor, and energy — shines a spotlight on Mauritania’s youth and cultural identity.
Voting takes place exclusively on the official TikAfrica Challenge website, open from June 1st to 14th, 2025. The top four participants with the most votes will advance to the grand finale in Côte d’Ivoire, where prizes and continental recognition await.
The TikAfrica Challenge is more than a competition — it is a movement designed to showcase the breadth and depth of African creativity. By providing each country with a digital stage, the initiative fosters a sense of community and celebration around national ambassadors.
As she heads into the voting phase, Tyfa Dia calls on Mauritanians and the diaspora to rally behind her in this pivotal moment.
